| Tim Cormier is founder and president of The Shipping Company, Inc.
(TSC), a consultancy established in 1998 for database and web
development, where he specializes in FileMaker Pro, MySQL, HTML, and
PHP. TSC expanded its operations to include auction management, order
processing, and fulfillment services. As president of TSC, Cormier evaluates current systems, determines organizational needs, and develops systems designed to meet organizational requirements. Prior to founding TSC, Cormier was responsible for database and web development at Intelligent Computer Concepts, where he developed, trained and administered over 250 FileMaker and MySql databases, developed inventory systems, and web integrated databases using CDML and Lasso. He also served as technical support, sales and shipping manager at Sonic Desktop Software. In addition, Cormier served as a network administrator, sales representative and database designer at Special-T Lighting, where he worked for seven years managing a computer network running Windows NT 4.0 with Back Office Server, handled maintenance and troubleshooting of current systems, implemented new solutions, and sold fiber optic lighting components. He was also responsible for database design and network administration at Touring Video. Cormier earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis on Information Systems at California State University, Northridge. He also attended California State University, Dominguez Hills, and the United States Air Force Academy, a top ten ranked university in the United States. Cormier possesses a wide range of skills, including nearly 12 years of experience in Windows, Macintosh and FileMaker Pro, warehouse management and is an expert in several other information management systems. He resides in Los Angeles, California, with his wife, Ursula. |
